Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Underwriter SME to join our team at AIG. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for contributing to the profitable growth of our business line, while adhering to AIG's values and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend to business submissions over $5,000 USD, selecting and quoting those that meet our guidelines and risk appetite, and negotiating new policies in a timely manner.
- Participate in monthly renewal processes, ensuring adherence to guidelines and analyzing renewal terms and conditions for accounts with losses.
- Maintain a portfolio of requests, providing timely responses to issuance teams and adhering to SLAs.
- Interact with other AIG areas to provide information and support, including claims and distribution teams.
- Ensure that UW information profiles are properly documented, including UW summaries, authorizations, and analysis.
- Attend external clients to promote and train agents and brokers, reinforcing business line strategy and strengthening relationships.
- Approach and collaborate with internal areas to resolve services outside of response times, achieving timely closure under UW authority and responsibilities.
- Participate in activities and provide necessary information to prepare reports and monitor results, KPIs, AAL, LTP, and other required information.
- Participate in assigned projects to improve operations, such as automation processes.
Requirements:
- Achieve individual goals with UW discipline, established in annual budgets (monthly monitoring).
- Contribute to team goals for new business strategy and retention portfolio, established in annual goals (monthly monitoring).
- Ensure proper accomplishment of UW guidelines.
- Achieve SLAs established for all business requests.
- Attend internal and external clients requiring UW support.
- Participate actively in projects involving UW participation.
