About the Role

Fixed Assets Analyst

This is a key role within the Siemens Energy organization, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of fixed asset transactions and month-end closing activities.

Responsibilities
  • Process and confirm modifications of Master Data to team members.
  • Perform intercompany and intracompany asset transfers.
  • Process capitalization and ensure depreciation runs correctly according to useful life and internal policy.
  • Process budget allocation and ad hoc requests for assets under construction.
  • Prepare monthly reports for assets under construction.
  • Process asset disposals (scrapping, sales, write-offs).
  • Provide support and information required for internal controls.
  • Extract inventory lists for the fixed assets stock taking.
  • Internal order/WBS element creation according to capital expenditure requests.
  • Process impairment or reversal of impairment according to requests.
  • Ensure stability in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
  • Assist with ad-hoc duties required by management to meet the needs of the business.
  • Internal controls in Fixed Assets accounting, participating in internal and external audits by providing timely and qualitative information and resolving queries from auditors (where applicable for assigned countries/legal entities and tasks).
  • Complete and continuously update DTP (Desktop Procedure) documentation for existing and involved in the creation of DTPs for new processes/variances.
  • Giving and engaging in standardizing and automating our workflows, Fixed Assets processes, and cross-functional processes throughout the company.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, or relevant working experience in Fixed Assets Accounting.
  • Preferably first experiences in the field of Fixed Assets Accounting & Finance Operations.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting.
  • Basic knowledge of IFRS accounting is preferable.
  • Good MS-Office skills (especially in MS-Excel).
  • Preferably first basic understanding of business processes in SAP.
  • Experience in transitions and transformation projects is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel for knowledge transfer, training/workshops, if needed.
  • Open and communicative in nature as well as fluent English skills complete your profile.
