Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Fixed Assets Analyst to join our team at Siemens Energy. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of fixed assets transactions and month-end closing activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process ownership of daily fixed assets transactions and month-end closing activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in accordance with IFRS and local GAAP quality standards.
  • Collaborate with internal and external team members to build strong partnerships and ensure effective communication.
  • Take ownership of process improvements and initiatives, working closely with the Fixed Assets Senior Analyst to drive results.
  • Perform intercompany and intracompany asset transfers, process capitalization, and ensure depreciation runs correctly.
  • Prepare monthly reports for assets under construction and process asset disposals (scrapping, sales, write-offs).
  • Provide support and information required for internal controls and extract inventory lists for fixed assets stock taking.
  • Internal order/WBS element creation according to capital expenditure requests and process impairment or reversal of impairment.
  • Ensure stability in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities and assist with ad-hoc duties required by management.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, providing timely and qualitative information and resolving queries from auditors.
  • Complete and update DTP (Desktop Procedure) documentation for existing processes and create new DTPs for new processes/variances.
  • Standardize and automate workflows, Fixed Assets processes, and cross-functional processes throughout the company.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, or relevant working experience in Fixed Assets Accounting.
  • Preferably first experiences in the field of Fixed Assets Accounting & Finance Operations.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting and IFRS accounting.
  • Good MS-Office skills, especially in MS-Excel.
  • Preferably first basic understanding of business processes in SAP.
  • Experience in transitions and transformation projects is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel for knowledge transfer, training/workshops, if needed.
  • Open and communicative in nature, with fluent English skills.
