About the Role

In the Credit and Collections department at Hewlett Packard, you will have the opportunity to develop negotiation skills that are highly valued in the financial industry.

This team plays a crucial role in interacting with various departments within HP, fostering a wide network and exposure.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Delinquency Analysis: Conduct thorough research on customer receivables account delinquency and determine the most effective communication method to facilitate payment.
  2. Dispute Resolution: Resolve disputes related to customer payment on delinquent accounts and negotiate to ensure timely payment from the customer.
  3. Trend Identification: Recognize trends for non-payment and resolve issues by engaging internal partners and leveraging strategic approaches.
  4. Strategic Collections: Utilize a strategic approach in collections activity, influencing customer payment behavior through developing key customer and partner relationships, resourcing effectively, and driving solutions.
  5. Portfolio Effectiveness: Reduce the time spent on the account through increased portfolio effectiveness.
  6. Risk Mitigation: Minimize write-offs and bad debts through early identification of risk receivables.
  7. Leadership: Provide strong evidence of leadership capabilities by performing by example.

Requirements:

  1. A first-level university degree with a focus in business or economics is recommended, or equivalent experience.
  2. Typically 2-4 years of experience in collections.

  1. Intermediate written and verbal communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  2. Intermediate accounting knowledge.
  3. Basic computer skills.
  4. Intermediate prioritization skills.
  5. Basic understanding of risk mitigation tools.
  6. Intermediate understanding of HP's order management process.
  7. Intermediate understanding of HP's dispute management process.
  8. Intermediate understanding of collection processes and financial concepts.
  9. Intermediate influence skills.
  10. Data analysis: Power BI & advanced Excel.
  11. Nice to have: Programming (PowerQuery and Python).
