The Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Manager is a senior professional position responsible for providing management with an in-depth analysis and insight of CitiGroup's financial results in coordination with the broader Finance team. The overall objective is to manage professional teams/ departments and apply analytical thinking/knowledge of data analysis methodologies to create and analyze reports that gauge CitiGroup's alignment with forecasted performance.
Key Responsibilities- Team Management: Conduct management activities for a mid-size team such as training, evaluations, hiring, disciplinary actions, and termination of team members.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct analysis of CitiGroup's/CitiGroup's competitors' financial performance.
- Reporting: Generate flash results/highlights of analytics for Board of Directors' reports and Executive Management reports.
- Quarterly Reviews: Participate in Quarterly Competitor Reviews, Quarterly Annotated Supplement, and Quarterly Investment Reports.
- Performance Reporting: Develop and coordinate performance reporting/processes; reviews results against plans monthly.
- Risk Management: Oversee the estimation of risk capital and incorporate results into management reports and decision processes.
- Advisory Role: Provide advice to internal clients on the implications of business trends, issues, operating environment changes, and firm/business unit strategy.
- Independence: Operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
- Judgement and Autonomy: Exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Act as SME to senior stakeholders and/or other team members.
- Team Effectiveness: Manage teams effectively.
- Risk Assessment: Assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding CitiGroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment, and managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
- Experience: 6-10 years of relevant experience.
- Supervisory Experience: Previous supervisory experience.
- Computer Skills: Proficient computer skills with a focus on Microsoft Office applications.
- Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Presentation Skills: Demonstrated presentation skills.
- Analytical Skills: Demonstrated analytical skills.
- Organizational and Project Management Skills: Demonstrated organizational and project management skills.
- Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's Degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
