We are seeking a highly skilled Correctional Reintegration Advisor fluent in Spanish to join our team in Mexico City, Mexico.

About the Role

This position requires extensive travel to other locations in Mexico, the United States, and other countries as needed. The successful candidate will provide advice on integrated case management and support services throughout the Mexican states.

The role involves providing technical assistance, training, mentoring, and support to Mexican partners in corrections reintegration best practices in the management of prisoners being released from prisons.

Responsibilities include developing and training Government of Mexico (GOM) staff in reintegration/reinsertion best practices, preparing prisoners for their release into society, and assisting partners to identify, cultivate, and sustain relationships necessary to create a community support network.

The Correctional Reintegration Advisor will also conduct diagnostic visits to federal and priority state correctional facilities in Mexico, assessing the needs of prisoners as they prepare for release and reporting on needs, capacities, shortcomings, and progress achieved toward reaching a reinsertion program.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Mexican citizen or Third Country National
  • FSI Level 4/4 Spanish
  • FSI level 3/3 English
  • Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, law enforcement, social sciences, or a similar field; or Associate degree with five years related experience
  • A combination of ten years of education and work experience in the private or government sector in community reentry services, mental health, or criminal justice system
  • Experience in managing programs, as well as project implementation, analysis, and evaluation
  • Ability to pass a U.S. Embassy RSO security background check
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite

Estimated Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, based on qualifications and experience.
