Key Responsibilities- Manage a staff of Regional Sales Managers that oversee Sales Representatives teams, including developing goals and responsibilities, assisting Regional Managers in monitoring results, and assessing the effectiveness of Sales Representatives and Regional Managers in the field.
- Develop business strategies for the Partner consumer and commercial products to ensure delivery of financial plans.
- Lead internal cross-functional teams and partner to execute against key business strategies.
- Manage credit goals at regional and district levels and communicate results and best practices.
- Partner with Regional Partner management to develop and execute tactics that support Partner and regional credit goals, such as sales, new accounts, associate development, and developing and implementing store coverage strategies to meet Partner guidelines.
- Engage in hiring activities for senior-level roles in the sales organization and make decisions about salary adjustments and promotions for other staff.
- Manage field execution of credit initiatives and achievement of established goals, as well as ensure Sales Representatives receive proper training, coaching, and career development.
- Collect and present market intelligence around best practices, customer feedback, and market competition in assigned regions, and facilitate business development opportunities within the region.
- Develop and manage cost center budgets and expenses, develop and maintain relationships with partner associates and customers, and ensure timely response and resolution to escalated credit issues and concerns.
- Avoid and mitigate risks when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
- 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Previous experience managing a Field Sales team or organization required.
- Experience within the sales/credit field required.
- Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
- Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements.
- Demonstrated employee development and mentoring skills.
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work with various levels of management.
- Ability to travel 25-50% of the time.
- Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
- Master's degree preferred.
