The Role
This exciting role involves supporting financial and pricing activities to ensure short and long-term company goals. As a Fintech Payments Strategic Advisor, you will:
- Identify strategies to increase profits and support sales growth.
- Track and model mid-market business and segment performance.
- Monitor business results, adjusting as required to meet company objectives.
- Provide data-driven insights to inform sound financial decisions.
- Support month-end activities, including market/business trends analysis and variance explanations for key stakeholders.
- Present monthly P&Ls and own full P&L responsibility, managing stakeholder expectations.
- Conduct pricing analysis through industry, market, and competitor trend analysis.
- Create, distribute, and monitor reporting tools and custom dashboards tailored to teams' needs.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly business review materials, explaining expense actuals vs budget variances.
- Budgeting and forecasting (quarterly) and track main KPIs (Retention, LTV & CAC).
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Actuary, or Applied Mathematics.
- +3 years of experience in analytics, finance, data modeling.
- A strong understanding of the payments industry.
- Fluent communication and negotiation skills, with strong analytical skills.
- An ability to assess risks and opportunities for the business.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with experience from the fintech industry preferred.
Technical Skills
You will require:
- Proficient Excel, pivot tables, macros, Power Query etc.
- SQL or Python preferred.
- Analysis with large data sets.
- P&L Management.
- Financial Planning Analysis.
