Engineering Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager to join our team at Acuity Brands Lighting, Inc. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in leading and managing our Maintenance, Facilities, and Quality team within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership: Lead and supervise a team of engineers and technical staff, providing guidance, mentoring, and support to ensure the success of our projects.
- Project Management: Oversee engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
- Talent Development: Develop talent within the team through coaching, training, and professional development initiatives.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to quality standards and drive innovation to achieve organizational goals.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to develop new products and improve existing ones.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical and Electrical), with no Industrial Engineering.
- Experience: Proven experience (typically 7+ years) in engineering roles with increasing levels of responsibility and leadership.
- Skills: Strong technical knowledge and expertise in engineering principles, design methodologies, and manufacturing processes.
- Preferred Skills: Experience in a transformation metal mechanical industry, Six Sigma Experience, and knowledge of SPC, FEMA's.
