About the Role

Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is seeking a highly skilled EHS Engineer to support environmental, health, and safety efforts at the site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support EHS activities at the assigned area, including maintaining EHS systems and processes, reporting and communication of EHS metrics, and collection and organization of EHS action items.
  • Support EHS training initiatives, EHS teams, and incident investigations.
  • Support site internal assessment activities and assist with the implementation of MESH (Management System of Environmental, Safety, Security, and Health).
  • Utilize MESH tools to drive improvements and support risk assessment at the location to identify critical EHS hazards and aspects.
  • Support tracking of leading and lagging indicators to track EHS performance and support tracking and accomplishment of EHS goals for the site.
  • Support and promote a zero-incident EHS culture throughout the site and support EHS engagement through EHS teams and committees.
  • Work with EHS leaders and MESH element champions to complete an annual evaluation of compliance for EHS country, state, and local regulations applicable to Site Operations.
  • Support efforts for third-party recognition for programs that establish the site and Eaton's EHS program as world-class.
  • Provide support on using established EHS digital data processes and support efforts to ensure and track that all key EHS operational controls are in place.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree or four-year degree in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, environmental discipline, or equivalent.
  • 2-3 years of experience in the EHS field.
  • Ability to identify state and country EHS requirements.
  • Ability to facilitate EHS teams and utilize company-wide systems for reporting EHS data and information.
  • Ability to conduct training and possess intermediate English language skills (spoken and written).

  • Ability to integrate EHS with other functions.
  • Ability to act as an agent of change and drive change effectively.
  • Delivering all communication with clarity, impact, and passion, and tailored to the audience.
