Job Description

Expeditors International, a global leader with over 19,000 logistics specialists in more than 340 offices, is seeking a District Sales Executive to join our team in Rome-Fiumicino.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a designated territory, identifying and establishing relationships with clients, scheduling appointments, and analyzing customer needs.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of the assigned territory and stay up-to-date on the competitive market landscape.
  • Collaborate closely with internal departments, regional, and European resources to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies.
  • Develop value-added solutions for clients' logistics needs, including cost-benefit analysis and support.
  • Support internal teams by introducing clients, transferring information, and ensuring the secure handling of all necessary bureaucratic practices.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance sales skills and stay updated on Expeditors' products and services.
  • Work effectively in a team environment, contributing to the commercial activities of the branch under the guidance of the District Sales Manager.
  • Provide customer care services, including payment management (accounts receivable).
  • Adhere to and support Expeditors' corporate culture.
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of experience in commercial and international logistics, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Knowledge of the supply chain process is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Availability to meet clients on a regular basis, potentially outside of the office.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, organizational skills, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivation and ability to work in a dynamic environment.
