About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Geographic Communications Specialist to join our team in Mexico City. As a key member of our communications team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing multi-channel internal and external communications plans that protect, build, and drive Dow's reputation and brand with key stakeholder groups in the North Region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement targeted integrated communication plans supporting corporate business priorities as well as countries of the North Region and site-specific objectives.
  • Develop and update key messaging, speeches, and presentations.
  • Coordinate and prepare meetings, briefings, and communication sessions.
  • Lead communication campaigns for employees.
  • Support the organization of corporate events.
  • Implement local CSR programs and related communications activities.
  • Support and implement community outreach programs for the countries of the North Region and manage the communications flow with volunteers, non-profit partners, and the community.
  • Support local media relations outreach, prepares briefings, develops key messages, and shapes talking points.
  • Ensure social media is an integrated part of the communications approach.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in communication sciences, public relations, journalism, marketing, digital marketing, or related.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in the area of communication and public relations in a company.
  • Strong written communication and speaking skills; proficient in English writing and speaking.
  • Writing skills are essential.
  • Understanding and knowledge of modern communications technologies.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive and self-motivated to deliver at a high level of excellence with ever-increasing demands.
