About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Audit Professional to join our team at Plante Moran. As an Audit Professional, you will be responsible for conducting audits and reviews, including planning, assessing risks, and evaluating internal control design and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct audits and reviews, including planning, assessing risks, and evaluating internal control design and effectiveness.
  • Develop and control analysis and testing, handle substantive procedures, identify, and assist in the resolution of client issues, and report.
  • Through conducting objective diagnostic tests and analytical reviews, the auditor is responsible for the verification of a company's financial records by following Generally Accepted Auditing Principles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's degree preferred.
  • Be willing to obtain the CPA/CPC within a defined period of time.
  • 2-4 years of recent public accounting experience (audit firms) working with Manufacturing clients.
  • 1+ years working with US businesses (client, employer, or vendor relationships).
  • Solid understanding of Mexican and US GAAP.
  • Solid understanding of Mexican Tax Regulations.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English - written and verbal.
  • Resumes submitted in English strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in a team environment.

What We Offer

  • This is an exempt position that may require some Saturday work hours and overtime during the work week.
  • Qualified individuals must either reside in or near Monterrey, Mexico or be willing to relocate to the area for this opportunity.
  • 50% travel is required with this position.
