Audit Staff

Join Plante Moran, a leading audit, tax, consulting, and wealth management firm, as an Audit Staff member in our Monterrey, Mexico office. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality audit services to our clients.

About the Role

As an Audit Staff, you will be responsible for conducting audits and reviews, including planning, assessing risks, evaluating internal control design and effectiveness, and developing and controlling analysis and testing. You will also be responsible for identifying and assisting in the resolution of client issues and reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct audits and reviews, including planning, assessing risks, and evaluating internal control design and effectiveness.
  • Develop and control analysis and testing, handle substantive procedures, and identify and assist in the resolution of client issues.
  • Report on audit findings and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality audit services.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's degree preferred.
  • Be willing to obtain the CPA/CPC within a defined period of time.
  • 2-4 years of recent public accounting experience (audit firms) working with Manufacturing clients.
  • 1+ years working with US businesses (client, employer, or vendor relationships).
  • Solid understanding of Mexican and US GAAP.
  • Solid understanding of Mexican Tax Regulations.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English - written and verbal.
  • Experience working in a team environment.

Travel and Hours

This is an exempt position that may require some Saturday work hours and overtime during the work week. Qualified individuals must either reside in or near Monterrey, Mexico or be willing to relocate to the area for this opportunity.
