Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and driven Government Contract Specialist to join our team at Bow River Solutions Inc.

This role is essential for ensuring the company's success in securing contracts with Canadian and U.S. government agencies by creating competitive, compliant, and compelling responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the end-to-end proposal process for Canadian and U.S. government RFPs, including creating timelines, gathering necessary information, and ensuring timely submission.
  • Write, edit, and proofread proposal responses, ensuring they are tailored to meet specific requirements, highlight Bow River's unique strengths, and comply with government standards.
  • Review RFP documents thoroughly to ensure all submissions meet mandatory criteria, legal requirements, and evaluation criteria.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams (e.g., sales, technical, and leadership) to gather and synthesize relevant content for proposals.
  • Conduct in-depth research on government procurement policies, market trends, and competitors to inform strategy and improve success rates.
  • Maintain and organize a library of proposal templates, case studies, and other reusable content to streamline future RFP processes.
  • Continuously refine Bow River's RFP response process, incorporating feedback from stakeholders and staying current with government procurement trends.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, English, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in writing and managing responses to government RFPs, preferably in Canada and/or the United States.
  • Professional or native-level English proficiency with exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities to handle multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant tools.
  • Familiarity with government procurement processes and terminology.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or related industries.
  • Knowledge of Canadian and U.S. government procurement portals and submission platforms.
  • Certification in Proposal Management (e.g., APMP) is a plus.

Estimated Salary: $108,000 per year, based on 12 months of contract work, with a monthly rate of $9,000. This estimate takes into account the job location and industry standards. We offer competitive compensation packages that reflect your skills and experience.
