About the Role
We are seeking an Extended Term Consultant to coordinate and support the implementation of our 30 by 30 Zero Program in Mexico. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing climate-focused ESG public policies with regulators and supervisors
- Contributing to the development of the sustainable capital market
- Supporting the financing of a priority sector (Distributed Generation of Solar Energy)
- Accompanying the climate transformation of financial institutions
- Sensitizing and training the financial sector to increase climate finance
Key Responsibilities
The Extended Term Consultant will be directly responsible for 3 of the 5 components of the program and will also be responsible for coordinating the overall program's implementation, liaising with the different teams involved at the Mexican and global level, and executing the internal project management.
Key Targets
The program aims to:
- Increase from 3.5% to 9.5% the green market share portfolio of FIs
- Originate USD 300 million of IFC's climate investments & mobilization
- Provide advisory services to 5 financial institutions
- Support the issuance of USD 204 million of green bonds from the real sector
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in climate finance, sustainability, and project management. They will be able to work effectively in a team and communicate complex ideas to stakeholders.
