Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team at International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all accounts payable administrative functions, including invoice processing, purchase order matching, and audit validation.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and analyze accounts statements from suppliers, ensuring accurate data validation and cost postings.
- Provide exceptional customer service to suppliers and stakeholders, responding to inquiries and resolving discrepancies.
- Reconcile invoices and payments, ensuring accurate coding and matching of purchase orders.
- Review and process batch payment runs, wire transfers, and manual payments.
- Prepare and reconcile monthly accounts payable journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with accounts payable policies and procedures, including vendor approval and invoice processing.
- Assist with internal and external audits, gathering support and documentation as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in accounts payable or related field.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and customer service skills, with ability to work effectively with suppliers and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in accounting software and systems, with ability to learn new systems and technologies.
