Job Details: Project Finance Analyst

As a Project Finance Analyst, you'll be responsible for a range of financial analysis, reporting, and presentation responsibilities. You'll work on corporate finance and modeling, supporting asset management, financial planning and analysis, and project finance. You will report to the Senior Director of Project Finance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Organize and present information for partners performing due diligence on business and investments
  • Support project and corporate financial modeling needs
  • Facilitate the internal flow of information between finance, development, legal, and asset management teams during transaction execution
  • Ensure finance team dashboards are kept up to date
  • Manage timelines and reporting obligations on security deposits and Letters of Credit, working with the accounting team
  • Supporting the asset management team:
    • Collaborate with the operations and maintenance teams to track, evaluate, and report portfolio/project performance
    • Draft reports on portfolio/project performance for investors, lenders, and other stakeholders
    • Ensure compliance with project agreements and contracts (Debt, Power Purchase Agreement, Operations and Maintenance, etc.)
    • Prepare monthly invoices (Power Purchase Agreement & Renewable Energy Certificate)
    • Structure large data sets to develop actionable information
    • Work with financial models to perform variance analysis
  • Assist in identifying, evaluating, and implementing process improvements as needed
  • Other relevant duties as required
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree required in a quantitative discipline
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the energy or oil and gas industry under project finance, asset management, or continuous improvement areas
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Finance or accounting degree and/or CFA or CPA a plus
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing is required
  • Strong analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
