Job Summary
Under general direction, the Procurement Specialist will be responsible for the procurement of specialized items and executing buying complex strategies in accordance with agreed upon material buying plans at the optimum cost/quality relationship.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze market and industry conditions to develop supply recommendations
- Interview sales representatives and vendors to negotiate the best possible deals
- Handle complex assignments and may train and coach junior buyers
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet business objectives
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have more than 5 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management. They will be able to analyze complex data, develop creative solutions, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
