About the RoleThe MTD Global IE Sr. Staff Engr. will support all minor and major projects within Module Technology Deployment (MTD). This role is responsible for providing data from studies to justify the impact of current projects or projects for proposal. The ideal candidate will be in full connection with all site IE (SPMX 1, SPMX 2, and SPMY) and RND to stay updated.
Key Responsibilities:- Top management main contact to know activities per site that can improve Lines or machines productivity, efficiency, OEE, UPH/cycle time improvements, and head count reduction (LEAN manufacturing).
- Define the ramping of new processes based on equipment's OEE to project capacity wanted across time.
- Responsible for developing new assembly processes and making major improvements.
- Perform time studies or validate existing time studies in any stations in production and give analysis to improve the process.
- Bachelor's degree in EE/ECE/Computer, Automation, Mechatronics, ME, or IE.
- 3+ years' experience as IE or in manufacturing.
- Can write and speak English language.
- Experience leading projects of significant complexity with multifunctional teams.
- Ability to resolve conflicts and drive issues to resolution.
- Technical background enabling effective interface with technical team members.
- Experience working with internal groups and companies internationally.
- Trained or knowledgeable in using SolidWorks, 3D modeling, or AutoCAD.
- Experience with Microsoft such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word file.
- Knowledgeable and can explain OEE (Availability, Productivity, and Yield).
- Willing to travel frequently even with short notice.
- Can work flexible hours even in weekends or night shift if needed and with short notice.
- Can write and speak Spanish or Chinese Mandarin language.
- Experience in solar, semiconductors, and electronic companies.
