Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Regional Engineering Director to lead our engineering function in the AMER region. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing and innovating all Hard Services delivery, as well as forming part of the account's senior leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Technical Leadership: Ensure that the technical service team performs as a collaborative and cohesive unit, reflecting the vision and ambition of the client and JLL.
  2. Hard Services Management: Direct Hard Services Management across AMER locations, including budget, schedule, procurement, quality, and risk.
  3. Leadership of Technical Teams: Provide effective leadership of the Technical, Energy, Central Service, and Project managers to deliver services within scope, budget, and contractual obligations.
  4. Client Relationships: Foster and develop an open and one-team relationship between the management team, service partners, and stakeholders to create a seamless and unified client experience.
  5. Compliance and Operational Management: Ensure that compliance and operational management is maintained, both statutorily and organizationally, ensuring that policy and legislation are followed in accordance with all required standards in each country.
  6. Performance Management: Drive the company vision, values, and strategic goals, and be responsible for measuring and driving performance to expected levels and standards.
  7. Communication: Communicate regularly with client stakeholders to build and maintain relationships.
  8. Service Development: Ensure that policies and procedures are fit-for-purpose, and that services are delivered and developed in accordance with the standards defined by JLL and the client.
  9. Innovation and Enhancement: Drive innovations and enhancements within the Engineering function across the AMER region.
  10. Contract Management: Hold responsibility for contract management of all M&E, Fabric, and hard service partners, vendors, and other procured services, developing a strong partnering ethos and focus toward service.
  11. Risk Management: Identify technical risks, develop risk mitigation and contingency plans, and implement action plans to reduce or eliminate project risks.
  12. Business Continuity: Manage business-critical/emergency situations and seek to resolve promptly, ensuring minimum disruption to the business.
  13. Health and Safety: Work in accordance with health and safety measures and promote best practice amongst colleagues, contractors, and vendors.

Requirements:

  1. Experience: 8+ years of critical engineering experience and 5+ years in a leadership and management position.
  2. Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, maintenance, or a related field.
  3. Skills and Qualifications:
  • Direct experience in directing technical services within a Facilities Management service within a fast-paced, high-profile environment, preferably in both self-delivered and outsourced engineering services contracts.
  • Fluent English.
  • Availability to travel at least 30% of the year.
  • Seasoned leader, adept in managing diverse teams across multiple regions.
  • Experience of operational facilities management and managing services to meet KPIs.
  • Knowledge of sustainability practices, innovations, and energy management.
  • Understanding of building regulations, legislation compliance, and best working practice.
  • Experience in financial management and budgeting, identifying cost savings/avoidance.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinking to implement continual improvements to service delivery.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive client relations and networks at all levels.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Highly proficient with Word and Excel.
