Job Description

UnitedLex Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Contract Negotiation Specialist to join our expanding team in Mexico. As a key member of our Contract Solutions Group, you will play a critical role in supporting our clients' sourcing departments by drafting, reviewing, and quality checking contracts to meet their expectations.

This is a remote position, and we welcome applicants from Mexico who are passionate about contract negotiation and management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, Review, and Quality Check Contracts
    • Draft, review, and quality check Non-Disclosure / Confidentiality Agreements, Teaming Agreements, and Vendor Contracts to meet the expectations of our clients.
  • Participate in Client Calls and Negotiation Calls
    • Participate in calls with our clients and negotiation calls with counterparties to ensure effective communication and negotiation strategies.
  • Exercise Professional Judgment in Negotiation and Redlining
    • Exercise excellent professional judgment in negotiation and redlining; resolve first-level disputes and escalate appropriate questions to UnitedLex senior legal team providing support to the client as well as the client's legal team.
  • Collaborate with Client Legal Team
    • Collaborate with client legal teams to resolve issues and develop efficient and effective negotiation strategies.
  • Ensure Adherence to Client Vendor Management Requirements
    • Ensure adherence to client vendor management requirements that achieve the optimal combination of service, cost, quality, and risk mitigation.
  • Build Strong Working Relationships with Clients
    • Build and strengthen strong working relationships with clients based on confidence, performance, accountability, and visibility.
  • Maintain Professional Communication with Clients
    • Maintain professional communication with clients via daily emails, calls, and video calls.
  • Assist in Implementation and Communication of Formal Policies
    • Assist in the implementation, and communication of formal policies, processes, and procedures to govern a supplier contract throughout its life cycle, including but not limited to appraisal, assessment, on-boarding, risk and performance monitoring, policy compliance, and communication.
  • Stay Abreast of Professional Trends and Functional Innovation
    • Stay abreast of and contribute to sourcing and procurement's professional trends and functional innovation, particularly around legal and contractual matters.
  • Assume Additional Responsibilities as Needed
    • Willingness to assume additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

  • Law School Graduates Considered an Advantage
    • Law school graduates are considered an advantage but not a must.
  • Contract Negotiation and Management Experience
    • 1-3 years of contract negotiation and management experience.
  • Solid Business Judgment
    • Solid business judgment, including the ability to anticipate and analyze the impact and consequences of decisions/initiatives and recommendations, and the needs of the requesting entity.
  • Knowledge of Insurance and/or Healthcare Preferred
    • As the initial client provides healthcare solutions, some knowledge of insurance and/or healthcare is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Remote Work Environment
    • Role will be fully remote, with some ability to respond to occasional after-hours requests, as required by the business.
  • Quiet Working Environment Required
    • Must be able to maintain a quiet working environment with a consistent broadband connection.
