  • Develop and execute a comprehensive communications plan to promote Vantive's brand and key initiatives in the region.
  • Lead media relations and manage crisis communication, including pitching and securing media placements, developing press releases, and crafting key messages.
  • Partner with government affairs, marketing, and global communications colleagues to drive business impact and shape the company's narrative.
  • Collaborate with HR and other key business functions to support internal communication strategy and drive business results.
  • Work closely with Marketing teams to identify key opportunities to deploy public affairs strategies with measurable impact.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with critical partners, advocates, NGOs, and academics to advocate for patient interests.
  • Develop robust approaches and guidelines to support safe, ethical, and compliant communications and public engagement.
  • Manage PR agencies and other vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

  • University degree or equivalent experience in Communications, Journalism, Public Affairs, Corporate Affairs, or a relevant field.
  • Minimum five years of experience in a Corporate Communications function, preferably in the pharma or medical technology industry and/or public relations agency.
  • Experience in social media strategy and management.
  • Fluent Spanish (written and verbal) and proficient English (written and verbal). Conversational Portuguese a plus, but not required.
  • Experience handling product-related issues, especially in a highly regulated environment.
  • Experience in media crisis management.
  • Strong writing skills for a variety of content types, channels, and topics.
  • Proficient in presentation design concepts and tools.
  • Strategic thinker, with ability to balance short- and long-term priorities.
  • Proactive attitude and familiar with working in a matrix environment and handling multiple stakeholders.
  • Connections with local/regional media outlets preferred.
