Tax Operations Specialist for Compliance and Environmental Fees

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Tax Operations Specialist to join our team in Monterrey, Mexico. This role will be responsible for supporting the compliance initiatives of the LEGO Group, ensuring adherence to global tax and statutory requirements.
The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of relevant tax experience, with a strong background in accounting or finance. A Bachelor's degree in a related field and professional certifications such as CPA are highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities- Preparation of data for Environmental Fees declarations and returns to be sent to third-party service providers.
- Preparation of non-standardized data requests from business units and GSTC regarding Planet Tax requirements.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual tax/fee workbooks.
- Perform tax payments.
- Contribute to tax issue logs through documenting tax incidents.
- Ensure proper documentation practices and 'audit-ready' supporting files.
- Reconciling tax payments vs. accounting, validating output, and identifying high-risk transactions through analysis.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- CPA certification or equivalent.
- 2+ years of relevant tax experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
We offer a competitive salary of $65,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
