Job Summary

Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence. We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer - Memory and Storage Innovator to contribute to the development of new memory products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with circuit design and interpretation of device specifications to produce required functionality
  • Participate in new circuit conception and schematic design
  • Perform circuit simulations using industry-standard tools
  • Collaborate with Process Integration to set model performance targets
  • Ensure reliability verification and layout and optimization
  • Manage the floor-planning process, including placement and routing optimization
  • Assist in standard cell development and optimizing design rules for cost, performance, and functionality
  • Verify proper word line and digit line lengths and select transistor sizes and types for pitch cells
  • Perform silicon versus schematic versus layout verification and responsible for simulation, Verilog, and parasitic modeling
  • Assist in silicon design validation, reticule experiments, and tape-out revisions
  • Maintain technical expertise and aid in communicating best practices throughout the department
  • Prepare detailed documentation as required and contribute to global design forums
  • Participate in continuing education and competitor analysis and participating in recruiting and interviewing new candidates
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams and working with Marketing, Probe, Assembly, Test, Process Integration, CAD, and Product Engineering groups

Project Management and Leadership:

  • Plan and organize projects and resource requirements
  • Serve as the main point of contact for design, layout, process, and testing issues
  • Track progress and monitor task completion and prepare project status reports for upper management
  • Lead design reviews to discuss progress and decisions
