This position reports to the Production Development Manager at ABB Schweiz AG, a leading company dedicated to addressing global challenges.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to optimize the Production organization's assembly methods, processes, and equipment to minimize labor hours in accordance with business strategies related to quality, efficiency, costs, and safety.
The ideal candidate will ensure appropriate production methods, cycle time, equipment performance, and materials/components in support of production targets.
The work model for this role is LI-Onsite, contributing to the Electrification Smart Buildings in Ramos Arizpe.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Process Improvement: Identifying and recommending improvement opportunities and implementing improvement projects, ensuring adherence to timeframe, quality, and cost requirements.
- Design Approval: Approving the design for processes developed internally or externally and performing final tests with respect to the project.
- Process Support: Providing support to Production during the internal/external process/equipment start-up, defining action plans and training relevant maintenance and production resources.
- Technology Evaluation: Evaluating new process technologies to improve productivity, quality, and cost reduction, defining and leading testing activities, approval criteria, and external provider choices.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or related field.
- 5 – 8 years of experience in similar positions.
- Strong knowledge of machines and tooling.
- Be proficient in mechanical reading and design.
- Knowledge of project valuation.
- Previous experience in leadership.
- Availability to travel.
- Advanced English Level.
