Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Patch Coordinator to join our team at Oracle. As a key member of our technical support team, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely planning for system and database patching and upgrade tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement patching and upgrade strategies to ensure seamless system and database operations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues
  • Provide high-touch support to Platinum customers to ensure a smooth service experience
  • Train customers in the effective use of Oracle support and deliver crucial services and assessments
  • Meet regularly with customers to understand the criticality of their systems and coordinate the resolution of specific customer requests
Requirements
  • Excellent customer service experience and strong written and oral communication skills
  • Organization skills and detailed knowledge of critical and IT concepts, strategies, methodologies, and practices
  • Bachelor's and Master's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Engineering
  • Experience in multi-tier architecture environments and high-level skills in database upgrades and patching
  • Fundamental understanding of computer networking, systems, and database technologies
Preferred Qualifications
  • Oracle RAC, CRS, Cellcli, ASM, RMAN, Data Guard experience
  • Experience with Oracle Engineered Systems and Oracle Technology
  • Oracle installation, patch and upgrade within production environments
  • Experience with OEM, Grid control, RMAN, Linux OS, Oracle Database Administration
