Job Summary
The Materials Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the timely arrival of raw materials for the Thermal plant. This position is responsible for verifying the correct schedule of materials to maintain raw materials inventory at acceptable levels, avoiding excess and obsolescence.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure timely coverage of all requirements for production plans and communicate any critical materials to suppliers.
- Adhere to production schedules despite raw material shortages and provide an action plan.
- Maintain parameters in SAP to improve the procurement process.
- Track supplier performance metrics and implement action plans when needed.
- Review the demand plan with the customer desk and order board to adjust SIOP and MPS accordingly.
- Ensure continuous improvement in the procurement raw material process on a daily basis.
- Validate supplier capacity versus demand and escalate any potential risks when necessary.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Advanced SAP skills.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Data analysis skills.
- Effective interaction with internal and external parties.
- English proficiency at 80% or higher.
