Collector Specialist

The Collections Specialist 3 performs a variety of assignments with limited complexity, focusing on accuracy and attention to detail. This role works under general supervision and established procedures, applying detailed knowledge of specialized administrative and technical skills. The Collections Specialist 3 understands how duties relate and integrate with others in the team and unit, exchanging moderately complex information with others.
Responsibilities:- Utilizes advanced negotiation skills to resolve delinquency issues, researching problems and developing external contacts.
- Shares knowledge with less experienced collectors, interpreting procedures and instructions to resolve delinquencies.
- Increases the recovery of past due portfolios, complying with established operational processes and quality objectives.
- Provides telephone collection services to clients, ensuring exceptional client experience and meeting specific metrics.
- Assesses risk when making business decisions, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets.
- Work under pressure, decision-making, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to remain focused and manage frustration while addressing client needs or organizational issues.
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
