About the Role

GEP Worldwide is a leading provider of procurement services, and we're seeking a skilled Strategic Sourcing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing category-specific requirements and scopes of work, conducting spend analytics, and initiating and structuring efficient RFx's.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop category-specific requirements and scopes of work consistent with business requirements and client sourcing strategy.
  • Conduct spend analytics and utilize analytical expertise to deliver a comprehensive total cost of ownership assisting the client business in delivering measurable cost savings.
  • Initiate and structure efficient RFx's, participate in supplier negotiations and support negotiation strategies based on supplier proposals and spend analytics.
  • Utilize your well-developed sourcing skills to manage supplier selection processes and provide data and recommendations to ensure informed business awards while developing contractual agreements in collaboration with our client's business and legal departments.
  • Collaborate with Client Category Managers and/or SMEs on project strategy; determine sourcing approach and methodology to be applied based on the strategy.
  • Lead and/or execute the GEP sourcing process from start to finish, including spend data collection and analysis, supply market analysis and supplier discovery if needed.
  • Manage suppliers during the sourcing process, including conducting supplier orientation and training on the sourcing process then following up with suppliers on milestone activities.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of proposals submitted, facilitate supplier evaluations, draw conclusions, prepare comprehensive summaries, and present to the client in a concise manner.
  • Prepare negotiation scripts and negotiate with suppliers, make recommendations, help on-boarding other team members, qualify and contract new vendor and ensure compliance.
  • Manage and optimize functional sourcing support activities while ensuring adherence to clients' corporate standards.
  • Engage with internal & external business partners to ensure that decisions are based on the broad scope of the organization and achieve optimum daily execution.
  • Manage project allocation, support team members during kick off meeting and share best practices.
  • Monitor performance satisfaction, ensuring all SLAs accountable for are met and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Science, Business, Engineering or similar stream.
  • Experience: 3 - 5 years previous strategic sourcing work experience, procure to pay process and events (RFX, auctions, spot buy).
  • Languages: required to be fluent in English.
