About the Role
In this exciting opportunity as a Strategic Risk Advisor, you will play a key role in helping our organization make informed decisions that minimize risks while maximizing opportunities for growth and success.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the development of reporting and processes to ensure effective risk management across the organization.
- Collaborating with the Director of Strategic Risk Advisory & Partnership to review and challenge risk mitigation efforts for various functions.
- Building and leading a team of risk professionals to support business segments in managing risks effectively.
- Overseeing the integration of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Framework within functions and segments, ensuring consistent and repeatable processes for risk assessments.
- Supporting risk assessments of key initiatives and projects, aligning with the Enterprise Risk Management program.
- Providing oversight and constructive challenge to ensure risks are effectively managed across functions and segments, in line with established practices and risk appetite.
- Developing and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders and subject matter experts within and outside the organization.
- Preparing periodic risk reports for Senior Leaders, including Top and Emerging Risks and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs).
- Leading the development and execution of a risk culture strategy to promote risk awareness across the organization.
- Providing risk management training to ensure a strong understanding of risk management theory and application.
- Reviewing and challenging risk and issues registers to ensure all material risks are identified and managed according to risk appetite and tolerance.
- Supporting functions in issues management and reporting.
- Contributing to the implementation of a robust risk technology roadmap, ensuring ERM tools and methodologies are integrated into the GRC tool.
About You
We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with:
- A Bachelor's degree in information technology, finance, business, or a related field.
- Experience in conducting risk assessments, developing risk mitigation strategies, and implementing risk management frameworks.
- Minimum 6-8 years of risk management experience, with knowledge of the technology industry preferred.
- Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with the ability to develop strategic plans to mitigate risks and leverage partnerships effectively.
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to convey complex concepts and ideas in a clear and concise manner.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies, with the ability to plan, execute, and monitor projects effectively.
- Experience with data visualization tools and automation technologies preferred.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced team environment.
- Interpersonal savvy, with strong written and presentation skills.
