About the Role
">We are seeking a talented Senior UX Content Designer to join our Global Design organization in CDMX. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in transforming Thomson Reuters software products into market-leading cloud applications.
">The ideal candidate will have a strong background in UX writing and content design, with experience working on complex software product offerings. You will be responsible for driving end-to-end UXC solutions within our product or digital space, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure user-centric design.
">Your expertise will include defining users' needs/problems and influencing overall solutions using a UXCD approach. You will also mentor/coach junior and mid-level UXCD resources, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
">A successful Senior UX Content Designer will execute efficiently, effectively, and independently, addressing any issues that arise. You will be able to work in a sometimes-ambiguous space, using data and foundational UX knowledge to influence decisions and problem-solve.
">You will think critically about the right experience for words, demonstrating the critical influence of words and visual language across design, research, product, and development teams. Additionally, you will help educate the organization about the importance of UX content/design/research-thinking habits and the impact of cross-team engagement on user experience outcomes.
">Key Responsibilities:
">- Drive end-to-end UXC solutions within our product or digital space">
- Help define users' needs/problems and influences the overall solution with UXCD approach">
- Mentor/coach Junior and Mid UXCD resources">
- Think critically—not just about the right words for an experience, but about the right experience for words">
- Demonstrate the critical influence of words and visual language across design, research, product, and development teams">
- Help educate the organization about the importance of UX content-/design-/research-thinking habits and the impact of cross-team engagement on user experience outcome">
- Help build foundational processes, standards, metrics definition, and engagement protocols thatfacilitate top-value partnerships across UX, product, and development teams">
- Extend UX content writing skills into UX content organization through design system, mapping, taxonomy thinking and outputs">
- Participate in content strategy efforts, such as:">
- Auditing product lines or digital experiences for areas of UX content opportunity">
- Defining and evolvingvoice and tone elements for both disparate and experientially connected products">
- Helping teammembers and partners align to processes aroundroad mapping, asset storage, design system and work management tools">
- Identifying gaps, and their solutions,within and across team processes">
- Leading empathy/content/feature mapping and other discovery/sprint planning exercises in partnership with UX design and research ">
- Prepare work for, and lead, cross-content/cross-UXideation workshops and training sessions">
- Be customer obsessed – Advocate for customers during product prioritization">
- Have a growth mindset by thriving on challenges and viewing failures as a springboard for growth">
About You
">You're a fit for the role if your background includes:
">- Bachelor's degree in writing, marketing, communications, or related field">
- 5+ years progressive professional experience including combined years of UX writing/content design, including some for a complex software product offering (cloud, app, or web)">
- Detail-oriented excellence, able to ensure consistent, considered outputs internally and for customers">
- Expert understanding of current design thinking and UX content design best practices .">
- Radical user-focus and influencer within and across complex groups, if not large organizations">
- Experience evangelizing UX content writing/designwithin a large organization to build peer and leadership understanding of and emphasis on importance ">
- Extensive experience working with designers and developers within a UX, creative, marketing, or similar setting">
- Able to take initial direction, execute, and provide usable and consumable deliverables for research, organization, strategic efforts, etc. without oversight ">
- Expert use of work management and workflow platforms, design/writing collaboration tools (high- and/or low-fidelity), Microsoft office applications, and document/chat/video collaboration tools ">
- Expert understanding of agile UX approach to creative outputs and partnership with design, research, product, anddevelopment partners">
- Understanding and oversight of UX content KPIs/success metrics; exposure to means/methods of measuring UX content success ">
- Presentinfluential information to upper-level leadership in project stand ups .">
- Understand the importance of primary and secondary research as well as both qualitative and quantitative inputs on approach to language, tone, and content; ability to define need, prepare for, and partner with UX research on content-related insights">
- Advanced familiarity with aligning to/updating/maintaining style guidelines, KMDs, writing guidelines, and/or brand voice and tone guides">
Preferred Experience and Knowledge
">Apart from the basic qualifications, the following skills and experience would be advantageous:
">- Familiaritywith AODA or WCAG 2.1 AA/AAA accessibility guidelines as they relate to UX content">
- Agile management platformuse such as Azure DevOps (ADO), Mingle, Jira, etc. ">
- Familiarity with content management systems and analytics tools">
- Familiarity with UX means/methods of measuring UX content success qualitatively and quantitatively">
Salary Range
">The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
