About the Role

The Localization Associate will play a key role in supporting the translations for product releases, web updates, customer communications, and other cross-functional efforts. This team member will be part of our Conversion Rate Optimization team, aiming to continuously improve our web and app experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure accurate and high-quality translations
  • Maintain translation memories, terminology databases, and other linguistic assets to ensure consistency and efficiency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of localization projects
  • Liaise with external translation vendors and internal stakeholders to coordinate project timelines and deliverables
  • Assist in troubleshooting localization issues and providing solutions to optimize the localization process

Requirements

  • Experience in a localization coordinator or project manager role
  • Experience with Smartling or a similar CAT tool or Translation Management System (TMS)
  • Familiarity with Translation Memory (TM) and terminology management
  • Knowledge of Machine Translation (MT) tools and best practices in quality management
  • Degree in translation, localization, or a related field
  • Proficiency in English and another language
  • Familiarity with a Content Management System (CMS) is a plus
  • Proficiency in German or Japanese is a plus
