Job Title: Controller - LATAM
Location: Remote (PST Time Zones)
Salary Range: up to 4000 USD

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM (PST)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management: Oversee accounting, finance, treasury, and tax operations, including managing accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and expense reports.
  • Budgeting and Reporting: Create, maintain, and analyze budgets; prepare financial statements and reports.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws and regulations; manage audits and liaise with external auditors and tax authorities.
  • Financial Analysis: Provide detailed financial analysis and insights to the senior management team, identifying trends, performance metrics, and potential risks or opportunities.
  • Internal Controls: Establish and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Month-End Close: Oversee month, quarter, and year-end closing processes, including ledger scrutiny and reconciliation of accounts.
  • KPI Implementation: Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the company's financial health.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years of experience in finance and accounting, with at least 3-5 years in a senior role.
  • Professional accounting certification (CPA, CMA, or equivalent).
  • Excellent understanding of US GAAP and experience in a public, American, and audited company.
  • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks, HubSpot, and advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience in managing audits and liaising with external auditors.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present financial data clearly.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience at a company that sells goods, with familiarity in issuing/responding to POs, invoices, and bills of lading.
  • Experience in the IT hardware industry, particularly data centers or AI.
  • Mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and capital raise experience.
