Key Responsibilities

Are you a talented and innovative process engineer capable of designing and executing efficient and ergonomic production workflows in a fast-paced environment? In this position, you will oversee the product interface with product development, aid in the engineering change management process, support continuous improvement initiatives, and engage in the manufacturing engineering network. Your responsibilities will also include designing, implementing, and monitoring production processes to ensure product feasibility, productivity, and quality.

Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring all series production documentation is managed effectively through lean manufacturing practices, aligned with PFMEA, working instructions, layout projections, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Collaborating with division specialists to implement new processes.
- Supporting commissioning and qualifications in your plant and/or aiding series production.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives (Hoshin, scrap reduction, TPM...).
- Developing and controlling PFMEA.
- Conducting SMED activities to enhance changeover efficiency.
- Creating working instructions in line with lean manufacturing principles.
- Monitoring direct labor efficiency.
- Managing and overseeing floor documentation.
- Optimizing line layouts.
- Updating plant layouts.
- Delivering specific customer-related outcomes concerning the production process.
- Assisting in the development of methods to ensure the performance of the site's management systems.

Required Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum educational qualification of an Engineering degree.
- Proficiency in Intermediate English.
- At least 1 year of experience in the automotive industry.

Experience requirements:
- A minimum of 1 year in a similar role.
- Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Familiarity with core tools (PFMEA, RFMEA, Control Plan, PPAP).
- Basic knowledge of SMED for changeover processes.

Skills and competencies:
- Ability to train and mentor direct operators.
- A mindset focused on continuous improvement.
- Strong problem diagnosis and analytical skills to comprehend contexts and define/support action plans.
- Basic knowledge of IATF standards.
- Understanding of Mexican health, safety, energy, and environmental regulations.
- Awareness of environmental aspects and impacts.
