Lead Client Relations Manager

Core Purpose
This position is remote and is responsible for driving profitable growth within a designated territory by delivering tailored solutions to both existing and potential clients. The Senior Account Manager is tasked with meeting volume, revenue, and margin growth objectives by expanding Nexeo's market share with current and new customers through the effective sale of products and services.
Reporting to the Regional Sales Director for the Northwest Region, this role requires a blend of strategic insight and tactical execution in a business-to-business sales context. The focus will be on acquiring, engaging, managing, and retaining clients by fostering robust customer relationships. The ideal candidate will be results-oriented, dedicated to achieving team objectives that are vital for the overall success of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Territory Analysis: Comprehends the territory landscape, including current accounts, prospects, competitors, and suppliers. Client Strategy & Insight: Understands client goals, requirements, and profitability factors. Accountability & Results Orientation: Assumes responsibility for and ownership of the assigned territory. Collaboration & Leadership: Cultivates relationships within Nexeo and the client organization. Market Awareness: Stays informed about market trends, industry developments, and regulatory matters. Technical Acumen: Recognizes clients' technical needs and effectively communicates to build technical relationships that drive growth. Value Proposition: Articulates and promotes the complete value offering from Nexeo. Effective Communication: Engages with clients while being mindful of their context. Negotiation & Solution Development: Utilizes sound judgment and problem-solving skills to forge mutually beneficial solutions. Implementation Oversight: Responds proactively to evolving client demands and requirements. Sales Operations: Proficient in MS Office and CRM systems. Pipeline and Quotation Oversight: Manages the sales pipeline proactively, recognizing clients' stages in the decision-making process.Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience & Skills)
Bachelor's degree in engineering, chemistry, business, or a related field is preferred. 5-8 years of experience in plastics distribution sales or a related industry is preferred. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required. Willingness to travel up to 50% is necessary. Strong skills in prospecting and client acquisition. Proven history of achieving consistent and sustainable growth. Ability to cultivate relationships and address client complaints or concerns effectively. Experience in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Proficient in Microsoft Word Suite, SAP, CRM/ERP systems, and Salesforce is preferred. Employs logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutions and approaches to challenges. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to establish and maintain interpersonal relationships with both internal and external clients.
