Core Objective

This remote position is focused on the Northwest region, encompassing various key areas.

The Senior Account Manager role is pivotal in driving profitable expansion within a designated territory by offering tailored solutions to both existing and potential clients. This position is responsible for meeting volume, revenue, and margin growth objectives by enhancing Nexeo's market presence through the promotion of our diverse product and service offerings.

Reporting directly to the Regional Sales Director for the Northwest Region, the incumbent is expected to deliver a blend of strategic and tactical solutions in a business-to-business sales context. The primary focus will be on acquiring, nurturing, managing, and retaining client relationships, thereby fostering strong partnerships. The ideal candidate will be results-oriented, demonstrating a commitment to achieving team objectives that are vital for the overall success of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Territory Analysis: Gathers insights on the territory landscape, including current accounts, prospects, competitors, and suppliers. Client Strategy & Insights: Develops a deep understanding of client goals, requirements, and profitability factors. Accountability & Results Orientation: Assumes responsibility for the territory's performance. Collaboration & Leadership: Cultivates relationships within Nexeo and with client organizations. Market Awareness: Stays informed about market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes. Technical Acumen: Recognizes the technical needs of clients and effectively communicates to build technical relationships that drive growth. Value Proposition Development: Articulates and promotes the comprehensive value offerings from Nexeo. Effective Communication: Engages with clients while being mindful of their context and needs. Negotiation & Solution Development: Employs sound judgment and problem-solving skills to create mutually beneficial solutions. Implementation Oversight: Responds proactively to evolving client demands and requirements. Sales Management: Proficient in MS Office and CRM tools. Pipeline and Quotation Oversight: Actively manages the sales pipeline, recognizing clients' stages in the decision-making process.

Required Qualifications (Education, Experience & Skills)

Bachelor's degree in engineering, chemistry, business, or a related field is preferred. 5-8 years of experience in plastics distribution sales or a related industry is preferred. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required. Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time. Strong skills in prospecting and client acquisition. Proven ability to deliver consistent and sustainable growth. Capacity to build relationships and effectively address client concerns. Experience in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Proficient in Microsoft Word Suite, SAP, CRM/ERP systems, and Salesforce is preferred. Ability to utilize logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutions and approaches to challenges. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to establish and maintain interpersonal relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Capability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
