About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Optimization Specialist to join our team at Emerson. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure production efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Process Analysis and Improvement: Conduct thorough analysis of manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and minimize costs.
  2. Quality Assurance and Control: Collaborate with the Quality Department to ensure that processes meet required specifications and standards, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  3. Process Implementation and Training: Design and implement new manufacturing processes and technologies, and provide training and guidance to production staff on new processes and equipment.
  4. Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve process-related issues to minimize production downtime, and develop and implement solutions to prevent future issues.
  5. Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect and analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement, and provide regular reports to management.
  6. Equipment Maintenance and Reliability: Coordinate with the Maintenance Department to ensure that equipment is functioning correctly and that preventive maintenance schedules are followed.
  7. Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate documentation of process changes, procedures, and work instructions, and ensure that all records are up-to-date and compliant with company policies.
  8. Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma projects, and identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement.

Requirements
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in process engineering, quality control, or manufacturing operations.
  3. Skills: Demonstrated analytical skills with a proven track record of process improvement initiatives, strong organizational skills, and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  4. Language: Intermediate proficiency in English (ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English).

Preferred Qualifications
  1. Project Management Experience: Experience in project management is an advantage but not required.
  2. Travel Requirements: Availability to travel within the USA and Mexico.
  3. Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma Knowledge: Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies is an asset.
  4. CAD Tools Proficiency: Proficiency in CAD tools, specifically Solid Edge.
