Job Title: HSE Advisor

Job Summary:

The HSE Advisor is a critical role at Trouw Nutrition, responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and environmental well-being of our employees, customers, and the community. As a seasoned HSE professional, you will be the first line of defense in identifying and mitigating risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and promoting a culture of safety and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership: Build trust and confidence with the HSE team and stakeholders, lead by example, and promote a safe behavioral culture.
  • HSE Policy, Plans & Standards: Implement global standards, contribute to the formulation of local HSE policies, procedures, and standards, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Risk Management, Inspection & Audits: Contribute to the formulation and implementation of emergency and occupational safety and risk inventory and evaluations, monitor HSE performance, and recommend actions for improvement.
  • Training & Advice: Coordinate and execute relevant training programs, provide advice to management and staff on HSE policies, and review new products, equipment, and processes for potential hazards.
  • HSE Tools and Systems, Reporting & Analysis: Manage, implement, maintain, and improve local HSE systems, report required information on HSE performance, and analyze relevant lagging and leading indicators.
  • Incidents and Investigations: Execute all activities related to incidents, follow-up on non-conformities, and coordinate activities in case of potential crises and incidents.
  • Projects: Execute and/or participate in various HSE improvement projects, prepare and submit relevant permit applications, and participate in CAPEX related to HSE.
  • Communication & Stakeholder Management: Communicate HSE policies at the site, build and maintain a network of relevant stakeholders, and ensure commitment and communication regarding Nutreco's HSE objectives.
Requirements:
  • Minimum Qualification: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • At least 4 years of strong environmental and/or safety experience in the manufacturing operations.
  • Preferred Qualification: NeBOSH General/International Certificate or equivalent as a minimum.
  • Confirmed ability to deliver processes effectively to optimize business resources.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Basic business acumen and the ability to partner and communicate effectively with employees and business counterparts.
