Role Overview

As the Automation Operations Manager, you will lead all initiatives related to automation, instrumentation, and technological advancements within our manufacturing sectors. Your role is crucial in maintaining safety, quality, performance, customer satisfaction, and cost-effectiveness across production lines. You will drive projects aimed at improving operational efficiency and adapting to changing supply chain requirements. This position is ideal for individuals who excel in environments focused on proactive enhancements and innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all automation operations comply with safety standards and regulations.
  • Maintain automated equipment to ensure optimal production conditions and implement best practices for technology improvements.
  • Support the implementation of new capital expenditure projects and lead related automation initiatives.
  • Oversee maintenance activities for PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Develop and lead training programs for the automation team to enhance skills in current and emerging technologies.
  • Analyze loss data to identify opportunities for improving equipment effectiveness and reducing waste.
  • Empower automation and maintenance teams to take ownership of their processes and improvement strategies.
  • Collaborate with operations and maintenance leadership to establish efficient work processes that meet production KPIs.
  • Support project scopes that align with continuous improvement methodologies and new product development timelines.
  • Coordinate automation activities with engineering, operations, and materials teams to minimize disruptions in plant operations.
  • Deliver high-quality services consistently to the business.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities in driving production efficiency and quality compliance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Automation, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Experience with programming and technologies such as PLC, HMI, SCADA, and related systems.
  • Ability to build effective partnerships with local and functional leaders to implement strategies successfully.
  • Strong relationship management skills to engage with team members and stakeholders effectively.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English is required.
