Job Summary:
The Equipment Maintenance Operations Manager will be responsible for supervising the equipment maintenance activities of the organization, ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitors workers responsible for the maintenance of production equipment and related systems
- Assists with root cause analysis of equipment failures and implements fixes
- Coordinates preventative maintenance with the production planning staff and inspects work for completeness
- Receives requests for maintenance, prioritizes maintenance activities based on urgency and availability of resources, and assigns technicians to open work orders
- Inspects equipment regularly to identify current and potential maintenance needs
- Maintains records and documentation related to repairs made
- Oversees the work of technical maintenance staff, contractors, or subcontractors
Requirements:
- Knowledge of the field's policies, procedures, and practices
- Leads and directs the work of other employees
- Typically has some authority for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance, or disciplinary actions
- Typically requires a bachelor's degree and 4 or more years of experience
