We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Security Analyst to join our dynamic Security Team at Helix. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in assisting with incident response activities, analyzing security events, and documenting incident findings.
Key Responsibilities- Perform user access reviews and log reviews in accordance with our compliance programs.
- Assist in monitoring and analyzing security alerts and events.
- Work closely with senior security team members to investigate and respond to security incidents.
- Participate in incident detection, containment, eradication, and recovery efforts.
- Document incident details, analysis, and resolution procedures in a clear and concise manner.
- Maintain incident response documentation, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and update incident response playbooks.
- Provide timely and accurate updates to stakeholders during incident response activities.
- Actively contribute to the improvement of incident response processes and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners regarding incident details and resolutions.
- Recently graduated with a computer science related degree (software engineering, computer software, etc.).
- Basic understanding of security principles, techniques, and technologies.
- Familiarity with security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and data loss prevention.
- Knowledge of network protocols and operating systems (macOS, Windows, Linux, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CEH) are a plus.
