We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations in our Mexico-based finance team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial processes while providing support for strategic decision-making across the organization.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of accounting professionals, driving process improvements and best practices in accounting operations. As a Senior Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, closing processes, general ledger management, tax compliance, budgeting, forecasting, audit support, and process improvement initiatives.

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, focusing on the unique reporting needs of SaaS companies.
  • Closing Processes: Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
  • General Ledger Management: Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and detailed account analysis.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including VAT, payroll taxes, and other applicable taxes; prepare tax returns and ensure timely filings.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes to support financial planning.
  • Audit Support: Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and liaising with external auditors.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in accounting processes.
About You

We are looking for a seasoned accounting professional with extensive experience in financial reporting, preferably in a senior role, with significant experience in financial reporting for SaaS companies. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and CPA or equivalent certification, are required. Additionally, proficiency in CONTPAQi accounting software, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent English skills are essential.

The successful candidate will have +5 years of experience in accounting, with expertise in US GAAP and Mexican tax laws. Experience leading a finance team and advanced leadership skills are preferred.

We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
