At TE Connectivity Corporation, we're seeking a highly skilled High Speed Cable Assembly Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Manufacturing and Process Development Engineering Teams, you'll play a critical role in driving excellence in new product development projects and implementing new manufacturing technologies to improve process and tolerance control.
Responsibilities- Support Product Development by optimizing designs and piece parts for manufacturability, and by realizing sample tooling, product samples, and prototypes.
- Design, develop, and qualify tooling and manual/automate processes for high-speed products to meet TE quality and production standards, documenting all processes and tooling in applicable TE systems.
- Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering Degree or equivalent.
- 8 years of work experience on high-speed cable manufacturing, specifically cable assemblies for data centers, AI, and supercomputing, including cable form factors such as OSFP, QSFP, and QDD.
- Experience with applicable systems (SAP, TLM, CAD etc.) and familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Strong experience to understand industry document specifications like US-CAR & IPC620.
- Strong understanding of cable making technology, stamping and plating technology, HSG molding technology, metal and plastic raw material characteristics.
- Experience on product tolerance analysis, Stability using verify data analysis the processes, such as the CPK.
- Expertise with the product development process, able to provide DFM, SOP, PFMEA, BOP, CTAR required for each phase according to the project schedule.
- Working knowledge of manual, semi-automatic and automatic assembly processes.
