Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Manufacturing and Process Development Engineering Teams play a critical role in driving excellence in existing manufacturing technologies and methods, while striving to implement new manufacturing technologies to provide improved process and tolerance control.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering, with +5 years of experience in high-speed cable assembly. They will be responsible for designing, developing, and qualifying tooling and manual/automate processes for high-speed products, ensuring optimal performance for quality and output.

The successful candidate will also have experience in interacting with senior management, with the ability to change thinking and gain acceptance from others. They will be able to establish and assure adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Play a pivotal role in LEANPD driven new product development projects, ensuring strong impact and adherence to Lean principles throughout the process.
  • Design, develop, and qualify tooling and manual/automate processes for high-speed products to meet TE quality and production standards.
  • Initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, cost, and cycle time, aligning with TEOA requirements and Best Demonstrated Practices (BDP's).
  • Maintain and adhere to all appropriate specifications, regulatory agency requirements, ISO standards, and customer requirements, ensuring compliance across all manufacturing processes with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Requirements:

  • Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering Degree and +5 years of experience in high-speed cable assembly.
  • Commitment to driving continuous improvement initiatives and implementing best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to work on issues of diverse scope and provide input on key issues impacting the function.
  • Ability to adapt and make significant departures from traditional approaches to enhance quality or value.
  • Experience in interacting with senior management, with the ability to change thinking and gain acceptance from others.
