About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Connectivity Solution Architect to join our team at ABB. As a key member of our Information Systems (IS) Services business area, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing software solutions that meet the needs of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define Technical Solutions: You will be responsible for defining the technical IS solution and ensuring alignment with other modules and surrounding IS applications/systems through cooperation and collaboration across IS solution architects and IS delivery units.
  • Engage in Requirement Engineering: You will engage in requirement engineering to decide which requirements are covered by available standard functionalities, for which functionalities enhancements are needed, and for which functionalities workarounds are accepted.
  • Support Validation and Prioritization: You will support validation and prioritization of incoming business demand in collaboration with the relevant IS Service Manager and/or Global IS Domain Architect.
  • Review and Sign Off Specifications: You will review and sign off the functional and technical use case specifications.
  • Collaborate with Users: You will collaborate with users in projects and problem management to maintain, develop, and deploy the best feasible and most cost-efficient Connectivity solutions/services for the business.
  • Ensure Operating Procedures: You will ensure required artefacts are created to describe the operating procedures.
Qualifications
  • +8 years of experience creating solution designs and leading implementation teams.
  • Proven track record of technical background in computer networks design, development, and implementation.
  • Industry recognizable certificates in Computer Networks area is a must.
  • Ability to consult service line management with technical advice.
  • Ability to direct and to drive an external/vendor team of experts.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple simultaneous deliverables.
  • Understanding of project and product management.
  • Fluent spoken and written English.
