Engineering Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager to join our team at Marriott International, Inc. As an Assistant Director of Engineering, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and providing exceptional customer service to our guests.
Key Responsibilities- Supporting Management of Property Operations
- Supervise the distribution of repair work orders to ensure timely completion.
- Ensure that property policies are administered fairly and consistently.
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and evaluating preventative maintenance programs.
- Establish and maintain open, collaborative relationships with employees.
- Monitor the timeliness and quality of completion of repair work orders.
- Supervise Engineering and related areas in the absence of the Director of Engineering.
- Maintaining Property Standards
- Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of facilities to determine the type of work required.
- Maintain accurate logs and records as required.
- Operate generators and fire pumps as necessary.
- Provide emergency response services 24/7.
- Repair equipment (e.g., refrigeration, laundry) as necessary.
- Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service
- Empower employees to provide excellent customer service.
- Emphasize guest satisfaction during all departmental meetings and focus on continuous improvement.
- Set a positive example for guest relations.
- Conducting Human Resources Activities
- Help train employees in safety procedures.
- Support a departmental orientation program for employees to receive the appropriate new hire training.
- Communicate performance expectations in accordance with job descriptions for each position.
- Ensure disciplinary procedures and documentation are completed according to Standard and Local Operating Procedures (SOPs and LSOPs).
- High school diploma or GED; 4 years of experience in engineering and maintenance or a related professional area; technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing.
- OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or a related major; 2 years of experience in engineering and maintenance or a related professional area; technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing.
