Customs Clearance Specialist

FedEx Express Latin America and Caribbean Division is seeking a skilled Customs Clearance Specialist to join our team

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced professional to coordinate customs clearance processes, ensure compliance with regulations, and provide expert guidance to internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain knowledge of current country's customs regulations and legislation related to Customs clearance
• Analyze and investigate Customs regulations to ensure FedEx compliance with changing tariffs and inspection requirements
• Coordinate problem resolutions related to customs documentation, tariffs, or fines to expedite package/document movement through Customs
• Ensure Customs duties and taxes are paid in a timely and accurate manner to eliminate fines or penalties for the Company and/or the customer
• Work with Customs agency personnel, FedEx air freight brokers, and operations personnel to facilitate the timely customs inspection of import and export packages and ensure timely customs clearance

What You'll Need:

• Associate degree/Equivalent
• Five (5) years' experience in a customs environment working with diverse types of international freight
• Proficiency in English (600 TOEIC points)
• Knowledge of country's customs service regulations and legislation for inbound and outbound clearance
• Good planning skills, analytical skills, communication skills, computer literate, Microsoft Office & PC Skills

Benefits:

FedEx Express Latin America and Caribbean Division offers a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
