Key ResponsibilitiesThe LEGO Business Service Operations (BSO) serves as a shared service center, providing HR and Finance services across the LEGO Group from multiple locations. The BSO aims to establish an effective and efficient growth platform to support our strategy of reaching twice as many children in the coming years.
- Fostering a successful customer service culture within the Accounts Receivable department.
- Overseeing debt collection across the Americas, ensuring timely completion of daily transactional tasks, and assisting the Team Lead with additional responsibilities.
- Monitoring overdue accounts and collection efforts.
- Providing guidance on payment allocation.
- Engaging with customers to resolve disputes and payment challenges.
- Assessing order releases in accordance with company policies.
- Tracking Credit Limit Utilization for order release purposes.
- Distributing Weekly Aging Reports to relevant partners.
- Reconciling customer accounts effectively.
- Following up on Claims & Deduction issues.
- Managing Collection Worklists, including pre-collection activities in SAP.
- Preparing and sending Statements of Accounts.
- Verifying provision calculations for doubtful and bad debts.
- Participating in Credit Risk Wheel discussions to address collection challenges.
- Coordinating with third-party collection agencies and legal representatives.
- Executing tasks related to Debtor Reporting & Control Tools.
- Advising Sales, Country, and General Managers on customer payment risks.
- Recommending strategies to Finance Business Partners for managing Accounts Receivable Aging and risk exposure.
- Ensuring that aging and bad debts in your markets meet critical metrics and coordinating corrective actions to support Accounts Receivable Managers.
- Implementing optimization initiatives across various functional areas at both regional and global levels while ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Building and nurturing strong strategic relationships with senior partners and demanding customers to meet their needs.

- Taking the initiative to provide exceptional service through understanding customer needs and values.
- Strengthening a global professional network.
- Driving process simplification and leading the implementation of regional and global standardization as a Regional Functional Team Lead.

The Senior Specialist plays a crucial role in establishing a sustainable Accounts Receivable department within the BSO. We seek individuals eager to actively participate in building a successful department, valuing collaboration, process excellence, quality, and enjoyment in daily operations.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, Administration, or a related field.
- Over 4 years of experience in similar roles.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and quality.
- Resilience and adaptability to change, coupled with a proactive mindset.
- Personal drive, initiative, and excellent collaboration skills, with a proven ability to build trust and credibility.
- Preferred experience with SAP.
- Experience in an international accounting environment is advantageous.
- Audit experience is a plus.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is required.
