Senior Visualization Engineer

We're looking for the next game-changer to join our team as a Senior Visualization Engineer. As a digital nomad, you'll have the flexibility to work from anywhere in Mexico and enjoy 100% of the benefits that come with it. Responsibilities:
  1. Play a crucial role in reporting and visualization for analytics that power a data-driven transformation of our standard business processes across channels and organizations.
  2. Develop and deploy solutions to maximize their value and increase consumer satisfaction.
  3. Work with massive datasets, develop & optimize data solutions, and ensure data availability, reliability, and performance.
  4. Develop, maintain, and enhance business reports and analytics using SAP Business Objects 4.x and above.
  5. Create and maintain BO Universes using UDT and IDT with emphasis on mapping new structures, derived tables, contexts, lists of values, and aggregate awareness.
  6. Promote reports/universes/users along with security settings from lower to higher-level environments following Change Management processes.
  7. Maintain BO architecture documentation, administration, upgrade, and patching support.
  8. Understand Business Objects Enterprise Architecture, familiar with the use of CCM & CMC, Instance Manager, Promotion Manager, Connections, Security, and Scheduling.
  9. Develop advanced Microsoft SQL scripting skills and experience in developing complex queries, stored procedures, and functions.
  10. Implement security by creating user groups, granting access to BO-based applications to users, and adding security restrictions (application level, folder level, and object level) based on user profile and user groups.
  11. Conduct thorough end-to-end testing of self-developed reports using multiple test cases to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency in adherence to best practices and industry standards.
  12. Develop new and maintain existing Tableau dashboards that address business requirements.
  13. Use HANA and other database querying tools to connect directly in Tableau to generate powerful, scalable dashboards.
  14. Generate powerful data visualizations that 'tell a story' through the dashboard.
  15. Create user guides and training material so users understand how to leverage and use the tools.
  16. Design and create visually appealing reports and dashboards using Power BI.
  17. Connect Power BI to various data sources and configure data refresh schedules for accurate data reporting.
  18. Optimize Power BI reports and dashboards for improved performance and query efficiency.
  19. Able to perform independent analysis of data-related issues/enhancements by performing analysis of BW Analytics report in WEBI I Analysis Office navigating to the source of data inconsistency.
  20. Experience with other reporting tools - SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Analysis for Office (AFO).
  21. Knowledge in SAP S4/HANA CDS Views for consumption in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
  22. Understanding of SAP S4HANA embedded analytics capabilities & Fiori.
  23. Understanding of SAP Analytics on Cloud products.
  24. Optimize solutions to improve performance and scalability.
  25. Implement and enforce data governance practices, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Requirements:
  1. 3+ years of experience in SAP Business Objects 4.x is a must.
  2. Minimum 2+ years of experience in Tableau.
  3. Exposure of using Analysis for Office (AFO).
  4. Exposure in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for reporting.
  5. Technical exposure in SAP BW on HANA Modelling is a plus.
  6. Exposure in SAP S4/HANA CDS Views for consumption in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
  7. Experience in Agile and Waterfall methodology principles.
  8. Strong written/verbal communication and presentation skills.
  9. Excellent relationship and team-building skills.
  10. The ability to work with all levels of staff & leadership.
  11. Demonstrated skills in collaborating, persuading, influencing, and negotiating.
  12. Ability to self-motivate, adapt, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  13. Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail and quality.
  14. Ability to deal effectively with challenging situations.
